Both Limerick Celtics National League teams continue their winning streaks. 

 

The men’s team came away with the win in a potential banana skin in Killarney v Scott’s Lakers Friday night 75 to 63 to stay unbeaten after 18 league games.

AJ Williams paced the scoring hitting a spectacular 40 points. Celtics opened up a gap in the second quarter with big 3s from Cian Gleeson and Martin Frawley.

3 late buckets from Finn Hughes closed out the game as Tony Hehirs team took the win.

 

The Limerick Celtics  Women’s team faced the visiting Isecure Swords Thunder in Crescent College Saturday and had their 7th consecutive win in the National league 84 to 71 to a full house.

Louise Scannell started hot and hit 3 x 3s and Celtics led by 7 in Q1.

Games Top scorer Amy Buckley was clinical in Q2 when she scored 14 of her 23 points and Celtics led by 19 at the half .

12 Second half points from team captain Sabhbh Edwards Murphy paced Celtics to their 13 point win.

Stephanie McBride continued to demonstrate why she is one of the best players in the league with 19 points 10 Rebounds 7 Assists and 4 Steals.

Guard Shelby Harmeyer managed the game  superbly at point and Celtics youngsters Laura Gocek, Jade You, Meabh Purtill and Sorcha Cronin gained good minutes experience at National League level.
