Limerick Celtics delivered a commanding performance to secure the U16 Girls AIG All-Ireland Club Championship Division ‘A’ crown, culminating in a 45-22 victory over St. Mary’s Castleisland in the final in Gormanston.
The Limerick side started strong, going unbeaten in Group 1 with wins against St. Mary’s Castleisland, Templeogue, and Meteors. Their momentum continued into the knockout stages, recording a 46-21 quarter-final win over Tramore and a 70-40 semi-final triumph against Portlaoise Panthers.
In the final, Laura Buckley led the scoring with 14 points, guiding Limerick Celtics to a comprehensive win and an AIG AICC Division ‘A’ title.
